How to Plan Logo Placement on a Custom Gym Bag
Choose a logo position after you confirm the bag construction, then check the size, method, and sample before production.

Start with the bag, not the artwork
A logo may look simple on a flat layout but become awkward once it meets a pocket, seam, zipper, or curved panel. Choose the bag model first, then look at its front, side, and end panels with the pockets and handles in place. Mark the usable areas on a photo of the actual bag. That gives the supplier a clear reference and keeps the conversation focused on a real placement rather than a rough description.
Choose the panel that suits how the bag is carried
The front panel is often the first place people see, but it is not always the largest uninterrupted area. A side panel can work well for a wider wordmark, while an end panel may suit a smaller mark. Consider where the bag faces when it is carried by hand or over the shoulder. If the bag has a separate shoe compartment or exterior pocket, check whether the logo will still be visible when that section is full.
Set a finished size before choosing the method
Send the intended logo width and height with the artwork. A small embroidered mark and a broad printed graphic place different demands on the panel, so the size should be part of the first quotation. The supplier can then advise whether seams, fabric texture, or a panel curve affect the result. Avoid approving a placement from a screen image alone when the finished size has not been stated.
Keep the artwork and color request specific
Vector artwork gives the clearest starting point for a logo. Include the required colors and note whether the mark has fine lines, small text, or a border that must remain legible. If the bag color changes, review the artwork against that color rather than assuming the same design will read the same way. One file and one written placement note are easier to check than instructions spread across several messages.
Approve the sample as a complete layout
Use the physical sample to check the logo in the way the bag will actually be used. Look at it when the bag is empty and packed, held by the handles and worn with the shoulder strap. Check the position, scale, edge quality, and how close the artwork sits to seams or pockets. Record any changes in the written specification before production begins.
